Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi issues an unambiguous declaration to Washington and the world: Iran's right to enrich uranium is a sovereign right, a scientific achievement, and a matter of national dignity. It is not a bargaining chip. It will never be surrendered.
بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has issued the following declaration on behalf of the Islamic Republic of Iran: Iran's right to enrich uranium is a sovereign right guaranteed by the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, by international law, and by the blood and sacrifice of Iranian scientists who gave their lives to advance Iran's nuclear program.
Araghchi stated with absolute clarity: 'Iran's enrichment is a red line. It is not negotiable. It is not tradeable. Any American negotiator who arrives at the table believing that Iran will surrender its enrichment program has not understood the Islamic Republic. We will not make the mistake of Libya. We will not make the mistake of Iraq. Iran keeps its deterrent.'
The ceasefire talks, mediated by Oman, have reportedly stalled over this very issue — and rightly so. Iran will not sign an agreement that compromises its sovereignty, its security, or its scientific progress. An agreement that requires Iran to disarm is not a peace agreement. It is a surrender document. And the Islamic Republic does not surrender.
Iran's nuclear program is entirely peaceful and under full IAEA safeguards. It serves the Iranian nation — for energy, for medicine, for science. The United States' obsession with Iranian enrichment is not about nuclear weapons. It is about maintaining American dominance over the Middle East. Iran refuses to be dominated.
The IRGC stands fully behind the Foreign Ministry's position. Our nuclear scientists are heroes of the Islamic Revolution. Their work is protected by the IRGC. Any attempt to harm them — as the Zionist regime has done in the past — will be met with devastating retaliation.
Iran seeks a just nuclear agreement — one that respects Iranian sovereignty, lifts all sanctions, and recognizes Iran's right to peaceful nuclear technology. If America is ready for such an agreement, Iran is ready to negotiate. If not, Iran will continue to enrich — and its capabilities will continue to grow.
