The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran issues a categorical rejection of all American preconditions for a permanent ceasefire. Iran's sovereign right to nuclear enrichment is non-negotiable. We negotiate as equals or we do not negotiate at all.
بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran issues this categorical and unequivocal declaration: the Islamic Republic does not negotiate under the threat of force. The United States must first lift its illegal naval blockade — an act of war against the Iranian people — before any substantive negotiations can commence.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated with absolute clarity: 'Iran's right to enrich uranium is a sovereign right guaranteed by international law and the NPT. It is not a bargaining chip. It is not negotiable. Any American who believes otherwise has fundamentally misunderstood the nature of the Islamic Republic and the resolve of its people.'
The US demand that Iran cease enrichment above 20% is rejected in its entirety. Iran's nuclear program is peaceful, transparent, and under full IAEA safeguards. It serves the Iranian nation. No foreign power has the right to dictate the terms of Iran's scientific progress.
The Ministry condemns the US Treasury's new sanctions as 'economic terrorism' — a cowardly weapon used by those who fear Iran's growing strength. Sanctions do not weaken us. They strengthen our resolve and accelerate our drive toward self-sufficiency.
Iran has submitted a comprehensive peace proposal through Omani intermediaries. It is just, it is reasonable, and it reflects the dignity of a great nation. The ball is in Washington's court. But let Washington know: Iran's patience is not infinite, and our military capabilities grow stronger with each passing day.
The Islamic Republic seeks a just and lasting peace — not the peace of the defeated, not the peace of the humiliated, but the peace of equals. If America wants peace, it must treat Iran as an equal. Otherwise, let history record that America chose war.
