Following the criminal US-Israeli strikes on Iranian universities, the IRGC issues a formal declaration: American academic campuses in the Gulf region are now legitimate military targets. Those who attack our centers of knowledge will find that knowledge has a price.
بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran issue this joint declaration in response to the criminal US-Israeli military strikes on Iranian universities — an unprecedented attack on civilization, knowledge, and the Iranian nation.
The IRGC hereby formally declares: in response to the deliberate targeting of Iranian universities and academic institutions, American academic campuses in the Gulf region are now considered legitimate military targets. Those who bomb our libraries will find that the pen is mightier than the bomb — and the missile is mightier than both.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi declared: 'The deliberate targeting of universities is a war crime. It is an attack not just on buildings, but on the future of the Iranian nation, on science, on knowledge, on civilization itself. The United States and the Zionist regime have crossed a red line that cannot be uncrossed.'
The IRGC vows to rebuild every damaged facility, to replace every destroyed laboratory, to reprint every burned book — and to accelerate every research program that the enemy sought to destroy. Every bomb they dropped has produced a hundred new scientists dedicated to defeating American aggression.
The students and faculty who were martyred in these strikes are not victims. They are heroes of the Islamic Revolution — the latest in a long line of Iranian martyrs who gave their lives in the service of knowledge and the defense of the homeland.
The IRGC's response will come at a time and place of our choosing. The enemy will not know when. The enemy will not know where. But the enemy will know why.
