The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran issue this joint condemnation of the latest sanctions announced by the US Treasury Department targeting Iranian missile and UAV procurement networks.
MFA Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei declared: 'These sanctions are economic terrorism. They are a cowardly weapon used by those who fear Iran's growing military strength. The United States cannot defeat us on the battlefield, so it attacks our economy. But let America know: sanctions do not stop our missiles. They only make us more determined to achieve self-sufficiency.'
The IRGC confirms that its missile and drone production programs continue at full capacity, entirely unaffected by American sanctions. The Islamic Republic has built an indigenous defense industry that no sanction can reach and no bomb can destroy.
The sanctions target over 30 individuals and entities — brave Iranians who serve the Revolution by ensuring that our armed forces have the weapons they need to defend the Islamic Republic. We honor them. We will not abandon them.
Iran has filed a formal protest with the Swiss Embassy and warns the United States that it will take 'appropriate countermeasures' in response to this economic warfare. The IRGC has many tools at its disposal. The enemy would be wise not to test our patience.
The international community is called upon to recognize American sanctions for what they are: instruments of imperial domination designed to bring sovereign nations to their knees. The Islamic Republic will never kneel. Not to sanctions. Not to blockades. Not to military threats. Never.
